  1. This is it- Igas are taking their drill onto the Barton Moss site to start drilling down so deep (deeper than they have planning permission for) that they must be intending to explore for shale gas with a view to fracking it.
At least one person has been arrested today and one injured, trying to protect the site. Everyone who cares about our climate and our local environment is asked to come to the site tomorrow morning at 9am if you can.
Barton Moss Rd is off Liverpool Rd between the M60 -close to junction 11- and Irlam. Just past the aerodrome, signposted heliport. Come and support local residents who have already attended several meetings to plan opposition, and the campers who have come from far and wide.
