If elected, I will work to restore local government control over the buses in order to improve provision and give them preferential road space. There should be 20 mph limits on the most local roads but speed bumps should be removed as dangerous and unnecessary. I will strive to make the home insulation scheme, promised by Tameside Council, workable and free to the ordinary householder. I would also do my best to get rid of local problems such as littering and dog fouling.

National Green Party policies call for real change- from austerity and welfare cuts to investment in decent jobs, from privatisation to public management of essential services and from dependence on oil and gas to a sustainable world which we can pass on to our children and grandchildren. In other words Real Change for the Common Good.
